Rates & Insurance

Psychotherapy and Health Psychology Rates

Discounts offered for some services when conducted via telephone only. Rates below reflect in-person and video sessions.

• Introductory phone consultation (up to 30 minutes) – no charge
• Initial interview — $180
• Individual psychotherapy session, 45-50 minutes– $150
• Individual session, 20-30 minutes — $90
• Health and wellness coaching — $150 per hour
• Missed appointment – cost of the appointment that was scheduled
• Cancellation of appointment with less than 24 hours notice — $50
• Phone calls and reading/responding to emails for more than 10 minutes — $2.50 per minute
• Copying — $1.00 per page
• Letter writing, completing forms, or correspondence requested by client (completed at my discretion) — $150 per hour, payment expected in advance.

For Other Professionals or Businesses

• Consultation/mentoring — $150 per hour
• Supervision – $175 per hour
• Speaker fee — $100 per hour including preparation time
• Mileage extra if done at your location. Travel time charged at hourly rate

Insurance

Billing health insurance or other third parties always limits your confidentiality. While insurance companies claim to keep this information confidential, I have no control over the information once it leaves my office, and privacy breaches in the healthcare sector are becoming increasingly common. This is one reason I have chosen to not bill insurance or participate in insurance panels. I can provide you with detailed receipts if you choose to submit them to your insurance company for partial reimbursement. That way, you are in control of what information you choose to share. This does not apply if you are covered by Medicare or Medicaid, which do not allow individuals to submit requests for reimbursement. Other insurance policies vary in their willingness to reimburse their members and their coverage of services by out-of-network providers. Please check with your insurance company about your options.

Payment

I accept cash, check and all major credit cards as forms of payment, as well as Health Savings Account (HSA) cards. 

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. Otherwise, no-show or late cancelation fees apply.
